This was an orphanage that started in 1854. It eventually merged with the St. Louis Protestant Orphan's Asylum and then become or merged with Edgewood Children's Center. (Funny thing, I lived around the corner from ECC when I lived in Missouri in the early 1950s.) Now to see if there are any records anywhere.
