My grandmother was Gertrude Portell of Washington County, Mo. She was born 1890 and died 1918. Her parent's were Zeno/Zamon Portell and Mary Trokey of Washington Co., Mo. Gertrude was married to Walter Boyer in 1909. Gertrude had a sister Victoria Alvina/Vena Portell who was married to John Jefferson Tucker of St. Francois Co., Mo. Victoria later married a Snyder (I believe George) Victoria had 5 daughters, Jesslia, Mrs. Edward Petschke of Los Angeles, Ca; Mrs. Lois McClanahan of Flat River, Mo., Anna, Mrs. Theodore Muskopf of St. Louis, Mrs. Bernice Landt of St. Louis and Mrs. Mildred S. Neaff of Clayton, Mo. I am looking for any information on Victoria's children. I don't know if they were Tucker's or Snyders Victoria's died March 15, 1956 and it has name as Victoria Vena Snyder and that she was widowed. Her spouse was George Snyder. The 1910, 1920 and 1930 census records for Randolph Twp. St. Francois County Missouri show the family of John Jefferson Tucker and Victoria. John J. Tucker died April 1935 in St. Louis, Mo and was buried in Elvins/Desloge/Flat River Missouri, St. Francois County. So, Victoria must have married Geo. Snyder after 1935. All the children were Tuckers, not Snyder. Jesslia Petschke nee Tucker died 1963 in Calif. Lois McClanahan nee Tucker died 1975 St. Francois County, Missouri. Anna Muskopf nee Tucker died 12-27-1996 in St. Louis Missouri. Bernice Hutson nee Tucker died July 1992 St. Francois County, Missouri. Mildred Serena Hoffner nee Tucker died 12-30-2002 in St. Louis Missouri. You should be able to get Anna and Mildred's obituaries from the St. Louis Public Library at http://www.slpl.lib.mo.us/libsrc/obit.htm . Jesslia married 1911 - 1913. Anna married 1925.
