LOUIS The brutal killing of a 9-year-old St. Louis girl reported by city newspapers last Friday once again involved a former local person, Walter Coxey, father of Shirley Jean, formerly lived in Bismarck and attended the Flat River Junior College in 1923. Mr. and Mrs. Coxey, who operated a rooming house at 3817 Washington Blvd., reported her missing that night after the father accompanied her part way home. The body was found the next morning in an alley, beaten badly around the head and face. The girl had been criminally attacked.
