Check with the cemetaries where all known people are buried to find out who maybe buried in same plot. Also see what kind of information they have. Call funeral directors from death certificates and see what information you can get from them. The Funeral home name may have changed so you may have to do some research. They can tell you if there was a obit in paper and also give you the information from it which may give you living children. Check Social Security death index to see where the last benefit went because it may have gone to a child living in another town. Also check for mate because sometimes they move after their mate dieds. Check Greene County US GEN web county site and that may help you. Check local newspapers online and search their archives for all obits with same last names. They may list parents and children still living. I have found people using all of the above but it still took alot of time. You may have to go thru many people to find living people.
