I believe they both died. Any help is appreciated. Paul J. Wald- May 20, 1840: born in Prussia. Mar 18, 1864: enlisted as U.S. volunteer for Hospital Chaplains Regiment (Pennsylvania). Apr 8, 1865: mustered out of Hospital Chaplains Regiment U.S. Volunteers. 1865-1866: Pastor at Troutville Church, Troutville, Clearfield, Pennsylvania. Abt 1866: Son William Wald is born to Paul and Barbara (Walker) Wald in Pennsylvania. 1868: Graduates from Meadville Theological School & takes charge of Liberal German Church formed at Columbus, Wis. Sep 22, 1868: Son Emile Milton Wald is born at Columbus, Wis. 1869: Rev. Paul Wald of Columbus, Wis. accepts a call from the Society in Lockport, Illinois. 1870: Paul, Barbara, William, and Emile are living in Muskingum Twp., Washington, Ohio. Mar 6, 1871: Daughter, Rosa E. Wald, is born in Rutland, Meigs, Ohio. May 10, 1886: Paul Wald dies of Pancarditis at the age of 46 in St. Louis, Missourri. He was a German school teacher at the O'Fallon School. He is buried in a non-denominational cemetery, New Pickers, Section B4.
