Joan, Just to correct one item in your post. Alhambra Grotto is still active, as a matter of fact, I am one of the Past Monarch's of the Grotto. My baby brother Frank is also a Past Monarch and the current Dr. of Smiles. What is the Dr. of Smiles you might ask. Our major charity is Dentistry for Children with Special Needs. i.e. Free Dental care. I was the guy who had to sell the Grotto building on Gravois and Laughborough a few years ago. We now meet at the Webster Groves Masonic Temple, last Friday we had our annual picnic down next door to Jefferson Barracks. I am one of the young guys, 74. PM Harry Reed is our Secretary and has been for forever, his father before him. I am sure if Otto was a member of the Grotto Harry would have his record and would provide the data: ,<[email protected]>, if necessary I can work out the information on Otto's Masonic Lodge. HI Bill, I am happy to hear the Grotto is still alive and well. I thought when they closed Gravois it was disbanded. I think I had told you my parents were very active in the Grand and Magnolia Grotto in the 30's and 40's. I really believe that Harry Reed (probably father) was active at the same time. I think Meridian was his :Lodge. I think Otto Hippenmeyer might have been the Monarch in the 30's. Are there Grotto archives of activities from past years? If anybody is ever looking for material I have some.
