Considering there use to be a nominal and most often no charge - this is really outrageous. When I started out in 1985, I barely had names to work with and most were off. It took some ten to fifteen years of repeated requests to the old INS before I finally started receiving some positive responses. These included the names of my great grandmother's children who remained in Poland and are belived lost in the Holocaust so I could have International Red Cross trace requests (which takes two to five years). To me it is just a sign of how they wish to dissuade people from making requests. But I have a negative outlook on life - so maybe just me. Michael McTeer 29 Palms, CA
