Do you have any idea how the Collins family is related to the Ryder's? I noticed that the males are named "Owen" and "Bernard." Are these Owen Bernard Ryder's grandchildren? OR is Bridget Collins originally a Ryder and related to Ann's husband--like his sister maybe? It's just a thought, if you hadn't already considered it.
