The Custom House was part of the old Post Office. Do a google search with Old Post Office, St Louis Mo. and you will find all kinds of information. Many famous trials were held there thru the years Webster University has lower levels along with St Louis Public Library. Mo Sec. of State and Mo. Attorney General also have offices there now.
