Joseph Herzog had two wives (1st Mary, 2nd Bertha) had children with both. His first two daughters from first marriage look to have a different state of birth on an early census record. The rest of the children were all born in MO. They lived near Kimmswick, MO which was a very important river town. Later some of the children married and moved to St. Louis. I don't have a record yet how they arrived or where. Joseph served a short time during the Civil War. His son George Herzog is my great grandfather.
