John M Stewart is supposed to have come to the Colonies about 1750 and migrated eventually to Missouri, settling on Sulfur & Glaze Creek area of what is now Jefferson Co., MO. Is this the Elizabeth Stewart you mentioned? Do you have any more information on this family? My wife is descended from the Robert E Stewart mentioned.
