Enter in STL deaths 1850- in the "keyword" box & he shows up. Same w/ 1890 City Dir. shows all at that address--boarding house. He's in the 1834-1931 deaths July 13, 1895--Calvary. No post-Dispatch obit, just burial permit. In Calvary, he's Kanelly (Sec. 16, Lot L)and you are correct about the many ways to spell his name.
