Researching the Dieckmann family who resided in the Metro St. Louis area from, possibly, 1850's to present. I know a Herman Dieckmann was living here and married at Salem Lutheran Church in 1876. In 1887 he purchased a farm in the North County area in Black Jack fire district. Names are Casper DIECKMANN, Herman DIECKMANN, August DIECKMANN. Some records show spelling as Dickmann. Herman married a RATHKE. August married a HUFENDICK. Casper may have fathered many children or came with many brothers. I know there is another branch with many of the sames names in the North County area. I am doing the research for the last remaining DIECKMANN son of August.
