Rainwater" in The [St. Louis] Republican, 4 January 1886, p. - obituary, "An Old Patriarch Called Home" in Richmond Conservator, 7 January 1886, p. 1 - obituary, "Death of Dr. M. F. Rainwater" in Richmond Democrat, 7 January 1886, p.3 - marriage announcement, National Banner & Nashville Advertiser, 18 October 1832, in Rev. Silas Emmett Lucas, Jr., Marriages from Early Tennessee Newspapers, 1794-1951, 1978, p. 394 - family group sheet - noted, John B. M'Ferrin, History of Methodism in Tennessee, 1873, pp. 352-353, 392-395 - noted, William S.
