Both the Social Security Application and the death certificate will have her parents' names. The SS-5 is information supplied by the applicant so is more reliable than the death record which was supplied by a 3rd party. Both are primary sources as they were created at the time of the event. Have you done the Census work for Daisy? Ancestry.com and Heritage Quest have online digitized sources.
