Grandmother stated she "liked sliding down basement doors," and that she went to an ice cream social at the church and was sliding down, when she "flipped over somehow and slid down on my knee." This would have been an elementary age girl, 1940's or 50's, St. Louis/Wellesley. Does anyone know what she is talking about? Can you describe it so I can illustrate it for my little book?
