If catholic...a possibility from Lower Saxony, Weser Ems..known as the Emsland today.. Many circa 1850's and 1860's St. Louis catholic germans from this area...Some may have attended the old St. Joseph German Church... Today called Shrine of St. Joseph. Another good bet would be Holy Trinity Church.
