Does anyone know if there is a written history or archived files from the early days of this church (or any other pre-1860) Baptist church in the Gumbo/St. Louis area? Stafford McGee was "received by letter" into a Jackson county Baptist church before 1860. I would like to find the church that he came from. He was in St. Louis in the 1850 census. He was a grocer. Owned property on Biddle St. Shirley
