I will try to find both the addresses and check for Arthur Flynn in both areas in the 1870 census. I was able to find Arthur's burial record at Calvary Cemetery and I do have 14 September 1871 listed as his date of death. I did have his death record but I neglected to put down the reference for it. I don't have a certificate so I must have retrieved it from a list. Do you mind letting me know where you found the death record? Thanks. Now that you have enlightened me I will check the area around 717 S Second as well as the area around O'Fallon. Of course there is always the possiblity that there were 2 Arthur Flynns. For many years I thought that the Arthur Flynn who died 14 September 1871 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery was my g.g. grandfather. Now I may have to rethink that if I find there is more than one Arthur Flynn. I did find one Arthur Flinn listed in the 1870 census but it was not my g. g. grandfather. I suppose I could try to find out on which street this man was living. Again, thank you very much for your help. Martha Parker
