I must have seen it on Ancestry but I will check with the St. Louis Library as well. Arthur's daughter, Mary, was buried in Calvary Cemetery (5 June 1874) and so is one of his grandchildren (a child of Thomas Haggerty.) Arthur's wife, son and daughter did appear in the 1880 St Louis census. His son James married in 1881 and and by 1883 the family had moved to Chicago. I have gone through the 1870 census more than once many years ago but was unable to find Arthur. I will give it another try. This family did seem to move around a lot just like your family. They came over from Ireland, met in Boston and married and then took a covered wagon to Milwaukee and lived there a short time. Their son James was born there. Then they moved to Chicago and lived there about 10 years and then on to St. Louis. They were in the 1860 St. Louis census. I figured they were just trying to find a place to make a living. What hard times. Well Georgia, I do thank you for all your help. I will follow up on the death certificate. I would love to find out more about Arthur. I appreciate your help. Martha Parker
