Surnames: Weible/Weibel/Wibel/Wible Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/WMB.2ACE/4802 Message Board Post: Looking for obituary and/or cemetery record for Jacob Weible (also spellled Weibel, Wibel, Wible) who was visiting St. Louis, MO in 1848 and died there of smallpox during an outbreak. I'm hoping someone there has access to records that can help us with this elusive gentleman. We'll be happy to reimburse for copies, time, etc. We do know that he was buried there - possibly in a mass grave - but that isn't clear. And we know that his son, William visited the area not long after his father's death and marked the grave. Or at least that is what has been passed down through the family. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
