Genevieve, Missouri, July 13, 1895: A man by the name of John Bevering from St. Louis, aged 40 years, died suddenly on one of the quarter boats at the Government Works at this place Tuesday night. The remains were sent to St. Louis Wednesday night for burial. Apoplexy was the cause of his death.
