1-St. Wenceslaus Parish, the second Czech Catholic Church in St. Louis, is in the process of writing a parish history. 2-A committee is currently working at gathering old and historical data on people, events, activities, articles, pictures, etc. that relate directly to St. Wenceslaus Church - from its planning and establishment in the early 1890's until 1960. The older the information, the better as there is currently a lack of material for composing the church history into a book format. 3-Please send items to: Michael McDermott, 8701 Ivy Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63123. Items WILL NOT be returned - so it is best to send copies. 4-The Committee hopes to have the parish history published by October 2011 in anticipation of the 13th Conference of the Czechoslovak Genealogical Society International which will be held in St. Louis.

Does any body have any knowledge of this person after 1920, he left the UK in 1912, leaving a wife and son, as a far as can be ascertained never returned. There is a death record of a William Kneath for Jan 1959 in Wisconsin, believed to be the one. Just trying to fill in missing years, for his granddaughters. FLANNERY. She was the daughter of ISAAC FLANNERY and NANCY (Maiden Name Unknown). MARY was born 1849, in Missouri. She has siblings JOHN FLANNERY born 1853, and WILLIAM FLANNERY born 1856. MARY A. FLANNERY and GEORGE W. NASH were married on September 7, 1866, in St. Francois County, Missouri. They are the parents of three children, all sons. ISACC ALFRED NASH born 1873, THOMAS PRESTON NASH born 1877, and ALBERT E. NASH born February 17, 1891, all in St. Francois County, Missouri. I have never proven Marriages for MARY A. (FLANNERY) to Unknown CLIFTON or to J.J. GANN. There is a Marriage Record for a MARY M. NASH to a JAMES J. GANN, on April 27, 1896, in Ironton, Iron County, Missouri. But notice, the name is listed as MARY M. NASH and not MARY A. NASH. I do know that there were other NASH Families living in Iron County, and I have not been able to prove that this is our MARY A. (FLANNERY) NASH that married J.J. GANN. My email address is: ograndma1@sbcglobal.net Joyce Nash-Wafford Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Tell them the type of article that you are looking for. I have had good luck with the St. Louis Public Library for this type of search. The SLPl is currently closed for renovation but I have been told that they are doing obituary searches which should mean that they have access to the microfilms of the papers. Here is their email address. webref@slpl.org Here is the county website: http://www.slcl.org/ If that doesn't work out, see if your local library participates in the Inter Library Loan (ILL) program and ask them to order the films of the newspapers for that time period. I was able to do this at my local library until the economy went bad and their funding was cut. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I did a search, found lots of Cock and Bull pub names but not Ball (though that seems clear in census takers handwriting in 1901) Now I think the name is Cock and BELL. There is a picture of the very pub on this website: http://deadpubs.co.uk/EssexPubs/Romford/cockbell.shtml Lily is one of the English nicknames for Elizabeth-Eliza. And she was connected to Richard Paul. I am not positive which Charles Scutt was the father of Harriet. Scutt is sometimes miswritten as Scott on the census. Thomas Charles John Richard Erselius 1897-1981 had one child, Thomas Charles F, who died this year. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I found that Harriet Ann Scutt (1859-1942) had a father named Charles (1812 Storrington - 1887 Sussex)and mother Harriet Shoesmith. I have found many Cock and Bull's but never a Cock and Ball (only fetish sites)...yikes. Do you know how all the "Thomas Charles Erselius'" fit together? From what I can gather Thomas Charles J.R. (1897-1891) and Julia M. Chapman had Thomas Charles F (1920-?) married to Rose M. Bradley. Does this sound right? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Where would I search for a death certificate or an obit from the 1960's for aN Ada Gertrude Hudson Cleveland. Born 1872 in MN. Ada and her husband, Joseph Cleveland were living in Jacksonville, IL in 1955 when he died...no children. I was able to get Joe Estate Papers and she did inherit some land in IL. Her niece tells me she returned to St. Louis to be near family and lived to be in her 90's....so I am guessing that she died in the range 1962-1967. These are my notes: In 1901, Lily Pearson, age 24, single, was working in the bar of the Cock and Ball (not Bull), 15 Market Place,Romford, Essex. Her father, Alfred J Pearson, age 50, was the householder and a licensed victualler (ie, a pub landlord). Younger brother Alfred, age 22, was also working in the bar, and there were also an 18 yr old potman and a general servant, a 20 yr old woman. Lily and young Alfred said they were born in Canonbury; the father's birthplace was Upper Clapton. At that date, Richard was still living with his first wife Harriet Scutt at 4 Linden St, Romford, Essex. When he left Harriet is uncertain, but in 1911, he and Lily said they had been married for 10 years. Though I can't find a marriage record. Lily's USA naturalization record gives her father's name. Felten Lodes and my grandmother (Clara Felten Cragan) were sisters. Their father was John V. Felten (originally Vonfelten) and their mother was Sophie M. (Wiedemann) Felten. John and Sophie married in 1880 at St. Joseph's Church in St. Louis Mo. John died in 1924 in St. Louis and is buried at Calvary Cemetary, in fact, in the same plot as Emily. Sophie died in 1902 and is also buried there. Now I do not recognize your reference to an Irene Felten or Vonfelten. Emily's middle initial was "I." so perhaps that stood for Irene.
