Besides looking at the 1920 census, Is there any way to get information on two or three residents who lived at St. Mary's during the 1920s?????????? Where would one write for information. Are there online records for this home????????????? Thanks, Alexandra

Lewis, undertakers supplies (1900-funeral furniture). Charles' death cert. (born Canada 11/27/1847-died STL 9/23/1914) lists Father = John L., born Wales, Mother = Ellen Purcell, b. Ireland and wife lydia was the informant--good source. I don't subscribe to Ancestry's list for Canada but maybe your local library does. Charles says he emigrated 1862-1865 while Ed. says he emig. 1874. Ed. could have been hired because he was a fellow Canadian or a relative. It's a stretch, but all I can find easy. Good luck. Need to find his parents. Edward came to Al in 1873 or 74 then sometime moved to the St. Louis - Webster Groves, Mo and married Laura Menge born 1865 in MO? Children of Edward's and Laura were Neil, Rose Elizabeth, Ruth, Alice, Edward Jr. and Thomas Herbert Lewis.
