    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: rclowrey Surnames: Brennan Rooney Dooley Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.missouri.counties.stlouis/10412.1.1.1.1.2.1.1.3/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Mary, Linda, et al, searching that http://www.archstl.org/ site turned up some new clues. first finding Bridget's burial record. a search of Brenda Brennan for 1878 turned up zero hits. but a search of Bridget with last name "Starting with" "Bren" bingo'd. they have her listed under Brenda Brennen instead. But on that result listing is a link to all the listings in the Calvary Section 6 Lot A row 3 that she is buried in. on page 2 of that pop-up is found three Rooneys. but no other Brennans are found in that Lot. as mentioned in a previous post husband Thomas and two of his kids appear all together in the same lot returned by searching on Thomas Brennan in 1906. These three are in a totally different section, section 4. so there seems to be implied different family connections. the related Rooneys in section 6 and the related Brennans in section 4. incidentally, the Calvary cemetery layout map provided by the archstl.org site is very user-unfriendly. i edited their map to create a much more user-friendly version and have uploaded it to this URL: https://sites.google.com/site/spookwar/home/genealogy-files/righted04map.pdf?attredirects=0&d=1 so my guess is the Rooney connection is on the Bridget side of the family. regan Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. TYhese records sometimes give mother maiden name and who the sponsors were. So you might figure out the Rooney connection. You fill out the request form online and then they email you. They are VERY good at finding stuff. She can send you a photo scan of the entry record for $ 1.00 apiece by email. I have found alot of additional info from baptisms. Catholics are meticulas about details. Good Luck Mary Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Occupation Horseshoer, Cause of death Nephritis/Senility, Name of Physician, Cemetery (which you already have), etc. incidentally, i found by searching on the Calvary Church website that three of the Brennan family are all buried in the same lot: CATHERINE M JAMES T THOMAS here is the URL for that listing: http://search.stlcathcem.org/lotdetail.aspx?lotid=0770&secid=004&row=&cem=04 how goes your search for the Roony/Rooney connection? regan Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Thank you for that information. I also see that 2 enumerations were done for this family - one on 7 Jun 1880 and one on 12 Nov 1880. I have found death certificates on Missouri Archives for Catherine & James saying their mother's maiden name was Dooley. I will try to find more certificates for the other children to see what they all say and I'll try to find a marriage certificate for Thomas & Mary. In 1870 they were in St. Louis with Mary (age 10), and these children all born in Missouri - Sarah 8, Lizzie 4, James 7 and Kate 1, but Tom & Bridget's ages were both 35 years old. In 1900, Thomas (immig. 1850 and NA) is on the Census on Easton Ave. in St. Louis living with his son James (b. Nov. 1865 MO). I have ordered various official records trying to find out the maiden name of Bridget, Thomas's wife but have been unsuccessful so far.
