He moved to Jasper Co., MO in the late 1800's after traveling to Brazil. He is listed there in the 1880 census, along with his sister. By the way. The St. Louis papers did not come from the St. Louis Public Library but from another source that had them, possibly the National Archives. I don't know if searching an index would help. You might just want to pick one of the larger newspapers from that time period and look at the reel, page by page. And look at everything. I have found death notices/obituaries on the from page and as well as buried in the neighborhood news type articles. Georgia
