My grandfather's surname is Kenker and I have done research on it in the past, but lately I have been busy with college. Please let me know what you have on this surname! My grandfather's direct ancestors all lived in Cincinnati, Ohio, but with a name as rare as this, I am sure they were all related. Anyway, please reply, and inform me of what you know! Thanks, Kristen

Shelley I'm sending your message to St. Louis. The only Missouri William Behrend & family shows up in St. Louis, married 25 yr old, in 1910 & family man in 1920. Wife Sarah?, daughter Altah, son Thos. Richard. In 1930 William is seen in Los Angeles. Daughter, Altah, is still in the home. There is a 15 yr old Thomas in LA too living with a different family headed by a woman named Irene Ottstad?. He is shown as a son, but that is not accurate because she is 29 and he is 18. Her sons are 8 and 2. I am relatively certain this is the same family. I need someone who lives in St. Louis who can access the newspapers on microfilm at the public library to do a lookup for me. The newspapers listed below carried probate information on two of my ancestors, John T. Sharp and Stafford McGee. St. Louis New Era October 1843 (Sharp) His will is dated Aug 1838 and the Will was filed 26 Aug 1840. St. Louis Daily Union May 1864 (McGee) Died after June 1858 Will dated Aug 1858 Filed May 1859 I do not have exact death dates but suppose they were pretty close to the filing of their probate proceedings. A possible death date for Stafford is May 24, 1859. The webref at the library cannot help me since these newspapers have not been indexed. Any takers? Feel free to contact me directly at my email, shirleyb123@worldnet.att.net. Thanks
