    1. George WARNER (WERNER), St. Louis, 1861 - 1866
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: WARNER WERNER SCHENK Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/WMB.2ACE/4694 Message Board Post: George WARNER (WERNER) was one of my great grandfathers. The first record I have for him is his appearance in the New Orleans, Louisiana, City Directory in 1866. He was a tinsmith. Family lore suggests that he may have resided in St. Louis, Missouri, prior to coming to New Orleans. If someone has access to city directories for St. Louis for the years 1861 - 1866 perhaps they could look and see if he was listed. There is a naturalization record for a George Werner in New Orleans that indicates that he made his declaration of intent in St. Louis, but I do not have a date for that, nor am I sure that this is my great grandfather. I am not sure where he married his wife, Mary Ann SCHENK. It could have been in Baden prior to coming to the United States, but I can find no record of their marriage in New Orleans.

    1. Fee Fee Baptist Church
    2. Shirley
    3. Does anyone know if there is a written history or archived files from the early days of this church (or any other pre-1860) Baptist church in the Gumbo/St. Louis area? Stafford McGee was "received by letter" into a Jackson county Baptist church before 1860. I would like to find the church that he came from. He was in St. Louis in the 1850 census. He was a grocer. Owned property on Biddle St. Shirley
