Best bet for this one would be to follow the instructions previously given to order it from the library. If you have a valid St. Louis Library card, you can look up 1988-present records in the Post and you Might find what you are looking for. go here http://www.slcl.org/reference/Electronic_Resources/index.html scroll down through newspapers and find St Louis Post (newsbank) click on that, it will take you to enter your name and card number Happy Hunting :o) Linda on 8/19/04 12:24 PM, donnayal@bellsouth.net at donnayal@bellsouth.net wrote: > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/WMB.2ACE/4710 > > Message Board Post: > > Is there someone who could please do an obituary lookup for me in the St. > Louis Dispatch, May 5, 1994. I don't know why some deaths have Jan. 1, 1700 as the interment date. http://stlcathcem.com/ With a burial date or date of death, you can request a copy of the obit from the St. Louis Public Library at the following and you can also search the indices that are available: http://www.slpl.lib.mo.us/libsrc/obit.htm The library has other resources which may be of help. When making requests, send separate emails for like requests, such as all obits on one email, all death records on a separate email. http://www.slpl.lib.mo.us/libsrc/geneinfo.htm A good resource for St. Louis Genealogy is Dave Lossos' website. http://genealogyinstlouis.accessgenealogy.com/ St. Louis Catholic church records were microfilmed and are available through the Mormon Church's family history library as well as being at the St. Louis COUNTY library. http://www.slcl.lib.mo.us/slcl/sc/sc%2Dgennew.htm#srchmiss http://www.slcl.lib.mo.us/slcl/sc/sc-genpg.htm
