Surnames: FLYNN Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/WMB.2ACE/4755 Message Board Post: In what ward would 2307 O'Fallon be located in the 1870 census? I have checked the census index for Arthur Flynn and family during that census year but didn't find the name. He appeared in the St Louis directory at this address in 1870. I thought I would go through the census one more time to see if i missed the family. Thanks. Martha Parker

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/WMB.2ACE/4754.1 Message Board Post: Have you tried getting a marriage license. Not sure if it would have his parents' names but it might have an address where he lived with his parents. St. Louis Public library has an index to marriage records by groom and by bride as well as having city directories for both city and county for certain years. http://www.slpl.lib.mo.us/libsrc/geneinfo.htm The 1910 census shows that he has been married 25 years, so it would be about 1884-1885.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/WMB.2ACE/4752.1 Message Board Post: The Kerlin-Corbis [Carbis] marriage is found in the St. Louis Marriage Register. Name - Spouse - Marriage Date - Volume / Page Henry T Kerlin - Margaret Carbis - 9 Nov 1856 - 08 / 200 If you have access to a Family History Center, you can rent the microfilm to view the entry. FHL Film: [St Louis] Marriage records, v. 8-9 1856-1860 - FHL US/CAN Film 528176 If that is not feasible, the St. Louis Public Library http://www.slpl.lib.mo.us/libsrc/geneinfo.htm might provide a copy. Be aware these early marriage records do not provide very much information. The key piece of information will be the name of the person who performed the marriage which can lead to a church record where more family information might be recorded. Good luck.
