Check the Ohio death index. The Ohio Historical Society is indexing them so the years are not complete. There were Thomases and Williams but not the right ones. Same with Emma and Laura. No Inezes. If you are pretty sure that they are in St. Louis for the census, contact the St. Louis Public Library and ask for copies of the City Directory for 1929, 1930 and 1931 to see if they are listed. You can email your request at the following website. http://www.slpl.lib.mo.us/libsrc/geneinfo.htm Once you find them in a city directory, go to Dave Lossos' website for genealogy in St. Louis and find the location of the address on the city index and then locate the street on the map. This will help find the enumeration district. Then you just start looking street by street. That is how I had to find some of my ancestors. http://genealogyinstlouis.accessgenealogy.com/1930.htm You might want to see what else is available at Dave's website. http://genealogyinstlouis.accessgenealogy.com/ Any chance that Thomas died and Emma remarried? Or, maybe they are living with someone and enumerated under another surname. Do you know Emma's maiden name? Maybe living with her folks? Or maybe they moved and were not counted on the census. I am still looking for two people who should be in St. Louis but cannot find them. Good luck, Georgia

My mother, Marie Carver (Lang) must be the same age as your grandmother. She was the daughter of Elizabeth Deuschitz and John Lang. Elizabeth was Theresa Deuschitz sister. She died when my mother was 5 and my mom was raised in an orphan's home. We had a lot of contact with members of her family, but I never got to meet the Fiacre family and learn much about the whole history. My Mom's recollections were vague and she spent much of her childhood separated from everyone. She ended up living with my aunt and uncle, Theresa and Fabian Deuschitz when she got out of the orphan's home at fourteen. I don't think there was a lot of family history discussed, however. I was raise in St. Louis until I was 18 and went away to college, but didn't have the interest in family history at that time. I've lived away, except for a short time, since then. I am interested in any history of the rest of the Deuschitz, Fiacre or Rakonik families since y! our grandmother's time. Do you know if anyone has done any genealogy work since then? I know I am the first one in our branch of the family to take an interest. Thank you for your reply. You can reach me at the above e-mail address. My name is Sue Carver.
