I'm looking for any information or photos of any of the Quevreaux family, mostly from around the Webster Groves area. I'v found the name is so uncommon that they are all related one way or another. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Lynn in Alabama

I no longer have possession of them. I had given them to the Missouri Historical Society when JoAnn Hammel (see other post) contacted me like you. Since she was related to the people in the photos I was able to get them back from MHS and return them to her family. She and I had a lovely supper at a restaurant and became acquainted. I was happy to get them back to her. I suppose you might contact her by email (again check out her post) and see if the Guerin photos might have been some she was unable to identify or whether you might be able to have copies made from them. Good luck! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I find Susie Kemp living with John and Charlotte Coffin in the 1910 census. I find John and Charlotte in the 1900 census but Susie/Susan is not with them at that point. In the 1920 census I find Susan J. with husband Wilbur S. Davis and Elizabeth Kemp living with them. In the 1930 census I find a Wilbur Davis but the wife's name appears to be Lila M. I'm not sure if this is the same family but the children's names seem to match between the 1920 and 1930 census. Sorry, I'm not able to find any connections between the Coffin and Kemp/Davis families. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I am not sure where to start truthfully. The census says that Susan and Elizabeth were born in Florida but John & Charlotte lived in Mo before coming to Florida - Susie lived with them in 1910 (perhaps she became a ward from family that lived in Mo but moved to florida and that is where she was born). Elizabeth was not listed living with the Coffins but later lived with Susan and her husband. This is a brick wall and I guess i was grasping at straws. THis is the census I was referring to: I have newspaper articles (but not with me here where I am emailing) about John Coffin in MO (He was orig from Mass). 1910 United States Federal Census Name: Susie Kemp Age in 1910: 17 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1893 Birthplace: Florida Relation to Head of House: Ward Father's Birth Place: Florida Mother's Birth Place: Florida Home in 1910: Eustis, Lake, Florida Marital Status: Single Race: White Gender: Female Household Members: Name Age John A Coffin 56 Charlotte R Coffin 54 Francis Coffin 28 David T Coffin 26 Ruth Coffin 21 George W Coffin 17 Warren C Coffin 15 Susie Kemp 17, ward Ebben Looke 85, uncle Thanks Judie Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Below is a link to St. Louis County Library for St. John's Cemetery info. They could probably help you. I believe there would be a record of autopsy if it was a homicide. The State of Missouri Archives has coroner records but I'm not sure if they are as recent as 1982. Here is their website address and you can do a search of her name and the date. If it's there, you can download the actual digitized records: http://www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/coroners/ Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
