    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: GettysburgFife Surnames: Haws Classification: lookup Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.missouri.counties.stlouis/10370/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hello, I'm looking for someone willing to do a look up for me in whatever St. Louis newspaper is available for 1983. I think it would be the Dispatch. I've been told by an extended member of the family that my grandfather was "killed in St. Louis". I want to send for his death certificate, but some of the family disagrees with him being in St. Louis. So I don't want to send for it in the wrong place. According to the SSDI he died in April of 1983 and his last residence was in Huntingdon Park, Los Angeles, CA; but he may also be listed as from Norristown, PA (his hometown). His cemetery record lists his date of death as 18 April 1983. The name is Samuel Eugene Rennard Haws. I don't need an actual copy of the article, but if I could get the typed up info that would be wonderful! Thanks in advance. I do have the birth dates and parents for Stella Dempsey Finn. However, I lost track of her after 1919 when she crossed the U.S./Canada for New York. I believe she probably lived in New York State for a time as her son, John was born there in 1914. He was later adopted by her husband Robert E. Finn. They later moved to St. Louis, Missouri and after the 1930 census I have lost track of them. I think she probably died in the fifties or sixties. Author: EvelynLeslie25 Surnames: Leslie/McCaskill Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.missouri.counties.stlouis/10366.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Thanks for looking. I don't have any more information than what I posted. She did not appear with her father and mother on the 1920 census. I could not find the family on the 1930 census. All the family knew was that they had a daughter named Audrey who married an Ellersick (I looked at the old letter again written by her grandmother and it is spelled Ellersick.) Audrey herself would probably be at a very advanced age if she is still living, but I was hoping maybe she might have had children and one of her descendants might have some information on her. This is a parallel line to my husband's direct line, same great-grandfather and their grandfathers were brothers. I'm working on locating descendants in hopes of a family reunion eventually.
