LEAD BELT NEWS, Flat River, St. Francois County, Missouri, Friday, December 30, 1932 DENNIS HECK Dennis Heck died at his home on Farmington Route One, Monday, December 26, 1932 following an illness of pneumonia of a week's duration. He was 73 years, 3 months and 17 days of age. The funeral service was held at ten o'clock Wednesday morning at St. Joseph's Catholic church, conducted by Rev. F. H. Skaer. Interment was in the Lutheran cemetery in Farmington, with Neidert's service in charge of the arrangements. Dennis Heck, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Seffrien Heck, was born near Rastadt, Germany, October 9, 1859. When 22 years of age he came to America, locating at Iron Mountain, Mo., where he was employed by the Iron Mountain Company. Following his marriage on July 17, 1885, to Miss Minnie Herbst, a home was established on a farm south of Farmington, where he resided until his death. They were the parents of four children, two having died in infancy. He leaves to mourn his departure, his widow, two sons, Henry and Fred Heck, and three grandchildren, all of Farmington. The deceased was a devoted member of the Catholic church, and a kind and loving husband and father. To those bereaved The News offers sympathy.
