FARMINGTON TIMES, Farmington, St. Francois County, Missouri, Thursday, January 24, 1901 DEATH OF A VERY OLD CITIZEN Mr. Joseph Bayless, one of the oldest citizens of the county, died at his home near Knob Lick last Sunday night, in the 90th year of his age. He was born in Tennessee in May, 1811, and came to this State and located in St. Francois county more than sixty years ago. He was twice married -- his second wife surviving him -- and was the father of thirteen children, eight of whom are living.
