    3. FARMINGTON TIMES, Farmington, St. Francois County, Missouri, Thursday, August 18, 1910 A "KID" PARTY The Alumnae of Elmwood Seminary of '07, '08, '09 and '10 were the recipients of childish little notes about a week ago, asking them to play with Lottie and Dorothy Huff at their "Kid" party, to be given August 15th, and further requested to bring a toy and wear a "Kid" costume. The occasion was a postponed graduating party for Miss Bertha Mitchell, the guests of honor being Mrs. Wm. Harlan, former President of Elmwood, and Mr. Arthur Allen of Drury College, Springfield, Mo. Mrs. Harlan and Miss Huff, attired as nurses, cared for the youthful guests in orthodox fashion, presenting the boys with toys and directing the games, which were in keeping with the occasion. Great amusement was caused by the original and comical costumes and the novel toys, and both hostesses and guests profess themselves as quite delighted with this fashion of "Looking Backward." Those invited were: Mesdames William Harlan and W. R. Taylor, Mr. Arthur Allen, Drury College, Misses Bertha Mitchell and Roberta Tetley, Elmwood '10; Alice Cole, Bess Cover, Ethel Morris, Genevieve Huss, Edna Ware, Isabelle Waide, Ruth Swink, '09; Misses Leanna Cole, Myra Mitchell, Ruth Huff, Ruth Spaugh, '08; Miss Augusta Lawrence, '07; and Messrs. Ferd Turley of Bonne Terre, Taylor Smith, Linn Rariden, Ruffner Lloyd, Carson Wood, Vernon Taylor, Earl Williams, Lee Mitchell, Fred Butterfield, William Blacklege, Philip Pipkin, Raymond Nixon, Harry Dover, Standifer Crowe and Merrifield Huff.
