Grandma is a great loss to me personally as well as *genealogically* as she was the source of my interest as well as a storehouse of information about our ancestors. It was a joy to call her and pick her brain about various discoveries I made about our family tree. When I found out that her father had not married until he was 30, I asked why such an handsome man with his own farm had not wed earlier as was the custom then. She replied that she didn't know, but that he had his own buggy as if this was his most important quality! Look forward to meeting you at her wake tonight or her funeral tomorrow in Farmington if you are a local and are a friend or of near kin. -----Original Message----- From: B.
