    3. LEAD BELT NEWS, Flat River, St. Francois County, Missouri, Friday, April 21, 1939 MARTIN L. FLEMING Martin L. Fleming, who had been a business man in Doe Run for many years, died at his home there on Monday, April 17, 1939, aged 59 years 2 months 2 days. Funeral services were held at the Doe Run Methodist Church, Thursday, April 20, at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Wesley Thomas, assisted by Rev. J. B. Cash. Interment was in the Doe Run Cemetery. Neidert Service. Martin Louis Fleming, son of the late N. O. and Mary L. Fleming, was born February 15, 1880. He was united in marriage to Miss Rose Zimmer on September 23, 1906. To this union were born two children, a son, William, and a daughter, Mrs. Ted Hughes. Besides his widow and children, he leaves three sisters: Mrs. W. R. Carver of Festus, Mrs. Henry Antoine of Doe Run and Mrs. Jake Zimmer of St. Louis. Mr. Fleming had been an invalid for many years, but bore his suffering with patience and fortitude. He professed faith in Christ at an early age and united with the Baptist Church in Doe Run.
