Marge and Barbara, Thank you very much for your replies. I can see that the surname for Mrs. Mandy [George] Hughes was recorded incorrectly. It should be Boatwright/Boatright. This is definitely the same George/Mandy Hughes in the below 1870 & 1880 census records. Barbara, do you know when your Ida married Marion Arthur Hughes? Was it prior to 1900? If so, perhaps FORD is a new surname I need to do some snooping around for. I hadn't considered that she may have been married. Since I no longer have access to ancestry, I'm can't go back to double check what her married status was. I thought I recalled that she was listed as single, however - for whatever that's worth on a census record (-: Do you also happen to have her parent's names? Thanks again!
