LEAD BELT NEWS, Flat River, St. Francois County, Missouri, Friday, June 3, 1938 MRS. EVA DeGRANT Mrs. Eva DeGrant, nee Crader, passed away at Farmington hospital, June 1st, following a stroke of paralysis on May 26. She was born in Bollinger County, April 21, 1880, the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah Crader and was at the time of her death, 58 years, 1 month, 11 days of age. On March 12, 1896, she was united in marriage to John W. DeGrant of Doe Run, Mo., and to this union were born ten children, three having preceded their mother in infancy. The surviving children are Mrs. L. E. Jones, St. Louis; Mrs. Adolph Beard, Flat River; Mrs. Edgar Vineyard, Desloge; Mrs. W. H. Arenz, Bonne Terre; Vernon, John Paul and Harold Leo of Flat River. She also leaves her husband, John DeGrant of Flat River; four sisters, Mrs. Grover Howard, St. Louis; Mrs. Mary Eaves, Robertsville; Mrs. Tina Rader, Joplin; Mrs. Lizzie Thurman, Calif.; two brothers, Lee Crader, St. Louis and Dave Crader, Farmington; nine grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. DeGrant professed faith in Christ in early girlhood and united with the Methodist Church at Doe Run, later moving her membership to Taylor Ave. Methodist Church, from where the funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. A. C. Johnson and Rev. F. M. Love. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors for 29 years and services will be conducted at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Doe Run, by that order with Caldwell Service in charge of arrangements.
