Regarding Valle Mines in St. Francois Co. Is it pronounced "Val Mines" or "Valley Mines"?????? I've always thought it was Valley Mines but heard someone recently pronounce it Val Mines. It is pronounced Valley Mines. Some people even pronounce it as it is written, Valles, but that is incorrect.
