Ed Ragsdale DESLOGE Charles Edward Ragsdale, 77, of Desloge passed away November 19, 2008 at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center in Farmington. He was born May 18, 1931 in Flat River. Ed served in the US Navy on the U.S.S. Shields off the coast of Korea; member of the Desloge First Baptist Church; Elvins Ionic Lodge #154 A.F. & A.M.; owner and operator of Ragsdale Core Drilling for 30 plus years; 2008 Grand Marshall of North County Homecoming Parade; 20 years with the Department of Natural Rescources; was voice of the Raider Football for over 40 years; loved to hunt and fish; Charter member of Briarwood Fishing Classic for the last 25 years. He was preceded in death by: Parents, Charles and Ora (Wood) Ragsdale. Survived by: Wife of 55 years, Leanna F. (Shaw) Ragsdale of Desloge; two sons, Greg Buns Ragsdale and wife Mary of Desloge, and Doug Bear Ragsdale and wife Jeannine of Desloge; four grandchildren, Leigh Marie Ragsdale of St. Louis, Cub Ragsdale of Desloge, Lori Jaco of Delsoge, and Tricia (Mrs. Tariq Muhammad) of Virginia; two great grandchildren, Taylor and Drew Jaco; brother-in-law, David Shaw and wife Trish; and special cousins Ralph and Patti Eaves. Visitation will be Friday, November 21, from 4-8 p.m. A Masonic Services will be held at 8 p.m. at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Visitation resumes 9 a.m. Saturday at Desloge First Baptist Church with services following at 11 a.m. with Rev. James D. Bruns. Interment at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
