McCormick Camp 215 Celebrate With Us the 200th Anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's Birth. On February 16, 2009, 7 p.m. at the Mineral Area College Fine Arts Theatre, the Brig. Gen. James R. McCormick Post #215 of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War will celebrate the Two Hundredth Anniversary of the birth of our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln. To commemorate this historic event, Howard Noble will give a presentation on aspects of the life of president Lincoln. Mr. Noble is a retired educator having taught American History and Political Science at Mienral Area College for twenty-three years. He left this field in 2005 but remains well-known in the Mineral Area and throughout Southeast Missouri. His presentations on American History are well attended and we look forward to hearing from him. Our group, the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War Post #215, is in its fourth year in the Mineral Area.
