Hope that they gave her loads of morphine!!!  She must have really suffered!!   Do you know what happened?   Alanna --- On Sun, 6/14/09, Linda Hunt <linda_scott_hunt@sbcglobal.net> wrote: Bertha Ethel Thurman who was accidentally burned over one third of her body on March 13, 1914 did live eight days and died March 21, 1914 being age 17 ½ years old.  She was the daughter of Greenville “Bee” Thurman and Lillian Bertha (Young) Thurman.  She was the granddaughter of Perrin Fulton Thurman and Martha Ann (Andrews) Thurman.  I have a picture of her with her family taken in 1912, a very lovely girl.  She was buried in the Salem Church Cemetery.
