Published: Thursday, August 26, 2010, Daily Journal, Park Hills, Missouri. DESLOGE — Geraldine Mabel Reed, age 85, of Desloge passed away August 25, 2010 at St. Joe Manor in Bonne Terre. She was born October 12, 1924 in Leadwood, MO. She was a member of the First Church of God in Leadwood; Missouri Historical Society a charter member of the Missouri Mines Museum Society; and was politically active. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Henry & Mamie (Sebastian) Miller; husband, Harvey John Reed; son, Stephen Peter Reed; daughter, Diane N. Clements; and granddaughter, Amy Clements. Mabel is survived by three children; Michael Reed and wife Linda Sue of Viburnum, Thomas Reed and wife Deborah of Festus, Barry Reed and wife Jessy of Lancaster, CA.; seven grandchildren, Scott, Bradley, Todd, Christopher, Julie, Tara, Kendra, Sarah; fourteen great-grandchildren;one great-great grandchild; sister, Doris LeClair of Maryland Heights. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday 5 to 9 pm at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Services will be Saturday at 11 am at C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Desloge with Rev. Kendall Hughes officiating. Interment will be at St. Francois Memorial Park. Memorial may be directed to St. Louis Association for retarded citizens, 1st Church of God of Leadwood, or Mo. Mines Museum.
