The accident happened near the highway junction at Fredericktown. The three were returning from a visit in Fredericktown and had attended church services there. Just after driving onto highway 61 they met a car driven by Denver Tucker, 19-year old Fredericktown youth, and the two cars met headon. Tucker suffered a fractured skull and was a patient in the Ironton Hospital until Wednesday. Mr. Watts escaped with minor bruises and their daughter, Miss Helen Watts, who was with them, received a fracture of the little finger on the left hand.
