John Henry Lovvorn was born in Iron County, Missouri on May 2, 1861, and died at his home at Stono, between Doe Run and Iron Mountain at 1:40 a.m., Saturday, November 6, 1943, aged 82 years 6 months 4 days. He was a son of the late John Henry and Louise Weiss Lovvorn. His wife preceded him in death on November 14, 1928. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Walter Lacey and Miss Mary Lovvorn, both of Stono, and two brothers, C. T. Lovvorn of Granite City, Ill., and U. G. Lovvorn of Elvins, also several grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Lacy, conducted by Rev. J. W. Thomas, pastor of the Doe Run Methodist Church. Interment was in the Doe Run Cemetery. Cozean Service.
