Bowling of Flat River, have the sympathy of the community in the loss of their infant son, Michael Gordon, who was dead at birth in the Bonne Terre Hospital, Saturday, November 20, 1948. Mrs. Bowling is the former Miss Mary Ellen Hicks. Rev. William Walter conducted a brief funeral service at Woodlawn Cemetery on Sunday afternoon. Arrngements were in charge of Alvin Hood Service. In addition to the parents, surviving relatives include the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Mercer Hicks of Flat River, and paternal grandparents, J. H. Bowling and Mrs. Harry Hamblen.
