    3. The Lead Belt News, Flat River, Missouri, Friday, July 9, 1943. George M. Pope. George Michael Pope, was born in Madison County, Missouri, in June 22, 1880, a son of the late George Madison and Lulu Jane Williams Pope, and passed away at the home of his brother, J. W. Pope in Flat River, Friday, July 2, 1943, after an illness of two years. He was 63 years 10 days of age. Funeral services were held Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Free Will Baptist Church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Jas. F. Miller. Interment was in the Revelle Cemetery at Fredericktown. Hood Service. He is survived by a daughter, Allene, a nurse serving in the U. S. Navy; three brother, J. W. and W. R. Pope of Flat River, and R. N. Pope of Crystal City, and two sisters, Ada (Mrs. John) Montgomery of St. Louis and Anna (Mrs. Lewis) Skaggs of Fredericktown, other relatives and friends.
