re: "Be more specific if you can." specific "sharing or being those properties of something that allow it to be referred to a particular category" - just one definition from Merriam-Webster I had to look up the definition for specific because when I read what Mr. Yeager wrote I assume he wanted more details about the people being inquired about. According to what I found in Merriam-Webster, I think I still have the grasp of the term. I sure hope there were not more than one person by the name mentioned in the e-mail below. I know in the line now that I am researching there are four individuals all with the same name but fortunately they were born years apart. Also, I have instances where people of the same name and same location are maybe only a year or two different in dates of births but luckily I have never encountered two people with the same name, born the same year, died the same year and in the same place. Just a few examples of why being specific is important to me in doing genealogical research. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jan Scott To: mostfran@rootsweb.com Sent: Monday, December 06, 2010 3:18 PM Subject: Re: [MOSTFRAN] Parkview Cemetery Dickey's - Philip Mary Jane Richard Vernell John Harold Dean Earl June Freda (Dickey) Rheinhart (I think that was her last name) & her daughter (?name) Doss's - Robert Eugene Leila (Dickey) Daniel Alexander's - JC (could have been - Jake) Edith (Dickey) Also - Clubb's Roy Hester (Dickey) Bill My parent's already have their tombstone there, but thank God, they are still living! I believe this to be about 1/3rd. I have worked most all Summer with exceptions of the time I spent transcribing Chestnut Ridge and Rudy; of Ste Genevieve County. Alexander of St Francous County, and the Cloninger Cemetery of Madison Co. and a partial of Big River Cemetery in Washington Co. I will resume Parkview when temperatures allow me out. If anyone wishes, I have photos of every stone I transcribed. As long as my web sight doesn't crash, you may contact me at, donaldyeager@charter.net
